Hiring The Orderly Sort to unpack and set up your home takes the stress off your shoulders and ensures everything finds the perfect place from the start. Instead of spending days or weeks (or months!!) surrounded by boxes and chaos, you can settle in right away and start enjoying your new home. With our expertise, your belongings are organized in a way that works for your lifestyle, making your home functional, beautiful, and truly ready for you and your family to enjoy sooner than later. No more staring at boxes all over the place and feeling unsettled.

What to Expect from Our Unpacking and Organizing Team

  • A plan is created with the team

  • Organizing supplies is gathered

  • Arrive at 9:00 am

  • We walk the space with you, discuss the plan, make any adjustments, and then get to work quickly

  • Everything’s taken out of the moving boxes and sorted into categories

  • If needed, we go through categories with you to declutter

  • We assess categories, test any needed products in the space that makes sense for optimal organization, and put your items in their new location

  • We thoughtfully label to complement the organization system and give that finishing touch

  • We load up one of our vehicles with unwanted moving boxes, trash, and any donations

  • We do a walk-through with you to explain the system we’ve created for your new home and how to maintain the organization

Unpacking and Organizing Pricing

Services are $85.00 per hour, per organizer. The minimum is 5 hours.

Step 3: Complimentary virtual consultation (as needed)

Step 5: Schedule service dates

Step 6: Research and purchase of any needed supplies for the project

Step 7: The work begins

Step 8: Maintenance for clients who want a refresher session (optional, but highly recommended)

  • As many as you’d like. We can unpack and set up your entire house or we can focus on higher priority spaces, such as the kitchen, pantry, and owner closets.

  • No. Many clients trust our expertise and allows us to use our discretion when setting up their home. However, if you’d like to be present, that’s fine with us, and allows us to ask you questions as needed.

  • The Orderly Sort will arrive on time and begin work promptly. We’ll work quickly and efficiently to get each space set up and organized as agreed upon. We’ll remove any boxes and wrapping from rooms and either dispose of what will fit into one organizer’s vehicle or move it to another designated location in your home, such as the garage.

  • The time it takes to fully unpack and set up a space depends on how many items you have, so the length of time varies. We will give you an estimate of how long we think it may take.

  • We can bring organizing supplies with us to use as needed. However, if you prefer for us to use what you already own we’re happy to do that.

  • The Orderly Sort is based out of Wake Forest, NC and regularly serves clients throughout The Triangle area. We are willing to travel to any destination but, but there is a fee for drive time that exceeds 60 minutes round trip.
